We are an Ancient Greece play-by-post RPG set in 212 BC, just two hundred and thirty years after the last Titanomachy. RotI uses true characters from history and mythology and allows players to tweak them to fit the plot. Present and future decisions and events are AU and we do not follow a true-to-history timeline of events moving forward.

Main Plot.
Rise of the Immortals is an ancient Greek mythology role-play focusing on the non-historical second Titanomachy and resurrection of heroes. It is 212 B.C., centuries after the first Titanomachy and over two hundred since a Titan last escaped their prison in Tartarus. Be sure to check out our full plot!
Rules & Info.
This area is the backbone of everything RotI. Our Rules are located here as a good starting point, but even better are our threads discussing the background of Gods and Titans from myth, possible Hero ideas, our powers list (because we totally play with them!) and how they integrate to create RotI's dynamic.
Canons & Wanteds.
We constantly have tons of characters that we've added as canons, and even more that our members have developed subplots or ideas for in the wanteds section!
Storefront.
Our store has been stocked specifically with items that are lucrative to our plot, characters, and members. Additional powers, patronage, enchanted items, mythical creature spots are some things available. Gold is gained per-post, for participation in specified activities, for behavior given by The Fates, and other various opportunities.
Staff.
For anything you need, ideas you want, guidance you seek, we are all here to help. Each of the staff has a different and unique investment in this board and works hard to help it grow and our members participate and most importantly, feel at home and welcome here =)

Let the Die be Cast.
Hera has been held up by Cronos in Mt. Othrys. As he would for any of his own, Zeus has rallied the Gods and directly confronted the Titans for the disrespect to the Queen and his wife. With such a forthright confrontation, there is no doubt that the earth will tremble with the force of such powers colliding.

 The Titans have used their powers to summon the resurrected heroes to a city called Olympia. In the center of the village, still milling with people, they have setup a horde of food, weapons, and armor. The mortals are oblivious to it all - unless the immortals interfere. This means the Titans laugh as the heroes weed themselves out, fighting over their limited resources, and the Gods cannot aid them. The Fates have spoken. Justice will be decided when the heroes prove their worthiness to a second life, or commit themselves back into the hands of Hades in this war.

There is a modern administrative region of Greece, Attica region, which is more extensive than the historical region, and includes several islands, and part of the Peloponnese.

The rise of Macedon, from a small kingdom to one which came to dominate the entire Hellenic world, occurred under the reign of Philip II. During and after the conquests of Alexander the Great, it became the most powerful state in the world.

Peloponnese
(click for visual) Peloponnese with its gulfs in Korinthos, Patrai, Saronic, Messinia, Argolida and Lakonia looks like a plane tree leaf and that is why it was formerly called "Morias". It has dry climate on the east, cold, snow and rich vegetation in its central and mountainous parts and rain and heat on the west.

The Underworld
The underworld is hidden in the earth and is the kingdom of the dead ruled over by Hades. Geographically, it's surrounded by a series of rivers: The Acheron (river of woe), The Cocytus (river of lamentation), The Phlegethon (river of fire), The Styx (river of unbreakable oath by which the gods swear), and The Lethe (river of forgetfulness). Once across the rivers, an adamantine gate guarded by Cerberus forms the entrance to the kingdom. Deep withen the kingdom is Hades' vast palace, complete with many...guests.

Every one of the characters here have a vast history that has led them to where they are now. The Titans in Tartarus, the Gods and their strife, mortals, and the Heroes first-lives. Here you can remember all of those momentous occasions that shaped each and every one of them along the way.

Setting & QuickLinks Currently, the Heroes have been summoned by the Titans' disguised call to an 'arena' to be pinned against one another in a battle for survival. The Fates have demanded no immortal intervene directly in the affair, stating that this is the only way these resurrected heroes prove their legendary prowess and worth. At the same time, Cronos has captured Hera with his pretty promises and Zeus has gathered the Gods of Olympus to storm Othrys and prove their loyalty to each and every one of their kin. The Earth rumbles and shakes with the forces unleashed, yet the worst has not even begun to pass.
